Ooey Gooey Healthy Pop

This recipe transforms simple air-popped popcorn into a deliciously sweet and sticky treat using coconut oil, maple syrup, and a hint of cinnamon. Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup corn kernels popped in a hot air popper
  • 1/2 cup solid coconut oil
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • Salt and cinnamon to taste

Instructions
 

Pop the Kernels:

  • Use a hot air popper to pop the corn kernels into a large bowl. Set aside.

Prepare the Syrup:

  • In a small pot, combine coconut oil and maple syrup. Heat on high until bubbling, then let boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat.

Mix the Flavors:

  • Stir in baking soda, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Let cool for 2-3 minute, stirring frequently.

Combine:

  • Pour the syrup mixture over the popped popcorn. Toss well to coat. Adjust salt to taste, and enjoy immediately or let it cool down and set!

Preheat oven to 240°F (115°C).
Spread the coated popcorn onto a sheet pan lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Bake for 35 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even crisping.
Let cool before serving.
