In the fall, my family and I visited Snuck Farms in Pleasant Grove, UT, where we tried the most amazing spiced apple cider. I instantly fell in love! Inspired, I went home and created my own version to share with my family. It was a total hit! The kids especially loved when I made this cozy treat. We’d gather outside by the fire table, sip cider, and read The Hobbit—complete with fun accents, of course! My son and I had just finished listening to the audiobook and watching the movies, which made the experience all the more magical.
This cider became a seasonal favorite, and I even made it for my favorite things party in December. It was also a perfect homemade gift for my mother and sisters-in-law, bringing even more warmth and joy to the holiday season. Who knew a simple cider could create so many special memories? 🍎✨
Spiced Apple Cider
Equipment
- Juicer if no juicer, then store bought juice works great!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups fresh apple juice about 4 apples
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice about 1–2 oranges
- 1 cinnamon stick halve if too long
- 2 whole cloves
- 2 whole allspice pieces
- 1 knob of fresh ginger
Instructions
- If you have a juicer, juice the apples and oranges until you have a fragrant blend that fills a 16 oz glass jar. If you don’t have a juicer, store-bought juice works perfectly!
- Add the cinnamon stick, cloves, allspice, and ginger to the juice. Seal the jar and let it chill in the fridge until you’re ready to enjoy.
- To serve warm, pour the spiced cider into a pot and heat gently on the stove until it reaches a simmer. Leave the spices in for a stronger flavor or strain them out before drinking.
- Curl up by the fire, sip slowly, and let the cozy vibes take over. Pair it with an audiobook or your favorite playlist for the ultimate seasonal treat. 🎵✨
